Interesting concepts! In particular I like seeing the different themes you kept from the neutral knight to whichever path he chooses. The pose and crest of the Evil Knight's helm is very similar to the neutral knight, as well as the fact that he has a shield. However the Good knight kept the visor. All in all the three work very well together, is this game an MMO or a single-player RPG?
Or perhaps all of them! We do live in an age of cross-media products, and I think it would be fascinating to see these sorts of designs rendered into all of those games. They're certainly solid enough to work in any of them.
This kind of character evolution reminds me of Seiken Densetsu 3. Or, in English, Secret of Mana 3. It was never released in the US but there's a translation patch for it. Anyway. When you reach a certain level you get to re-class your characters. Moving them towards darkness gave them more damage, less defense, and gave them offensive abilities. Moving them towards light did just the opposite. Then, again, you can re-class them a second time later on either moving them even further down the darkness branch, the light branch, or going with a going the opposite direction and taking the neutral path between the two.
It's one of my favorite games.... I've played it through over a dozen times.... :3
never played it but i played secret of mana 2 very very long time ago, it's kinda blurry but i remember the game atmosphere n how much i enjoyed it, the evolution are also inspired by many rpg n mmorpg out there.
I would HIGHLY recommend it. It had some ground breaking game mechanics in it. At the start of the game you choose, from six characters, which three will form your party. The first character you choose becomes the main character and you see the plot unfold from their perspective and then you meet the other two down the line. If you want to get the whole story you have to play the game over four or five times choosing different main character. The main character choice also determine which evil will win the war of mana and becomes the final boss you have to fight.
